Crossing the Western Kingdom

A journey in Morocco, late 2016.  From the street photography in Marrakech to the drama of the High Atlas Mountains, Berber markets in the Dades Valley and settlements on the edge of the Sahara and into the desert beyond.  A land of contradiction, contrast and colour, to use only a single station of the alphabet, The Western Kingdom has much to enthral a photographer.

I found a country on the edge of Africa, the edge of Europe, the edge of the desert and the edge of the sea, the edge of the Arab spring, the edge of old trade routes and empires.
